Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of OpsGates, provided by OpsGates ("we", "us"). By creating an account, installing the OpsGates Agent or linking a computer you agree to them. If you use OpsGates for an organization, you accept these Terms on its behalf.

1. The service

OpsGates consists of (a) the OpsGates Agent, software you install on servers you control, which lets AI assistants you choose use tools on those servers ("Server mode"); (b) the OpsGates app for computers, software you install on your own computer, which lets AI assistants you choose use tools on that computer within the folders and permission level you set ("Computer mode"); and (c) OpsGates Cloud at https://mcp.opsgates.com, which manages your account, license keys, linked computers, usage metering and billing. In Server mode OpsGates Cloud does not access your servers. In Computer mode OpsGates Cloud relays requests and answers between your AI apps and your computer, as described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

You must give a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your license keys confidential. Tell us promptly at the email shown on our website if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.

3. License to the software

While your account is in good standing we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the Agent on servers, and the app on computers, that you own or are authorized to administer, for your internal purposes, within the limits of your plan. You may not resell the software, remove or bypass its license checks or usage metering, or offer it as a hosted service to third parties without our written permission. The app for computers updates itself with versions signed by us.

4. Your servers, your computers and your AI assistants

You decide what OpsGates may do (on servers: folders it may write, services it may restart, databases it may read; on computers: the folders it may use and whether it may read, change files or run commands) and which AI assistants connect to it. You are responsible for the actions taken on your servers and computers through OpsGates, including actions you allow or confirm in an AI app. AI assistants can make mistakes: review what they propose, choose the most limited permission that works for you and keep your own backups. You must have the right to operate every server and computer on which you install OpsGates.

5. Acceptable use

You will not use OpsGates to: break the law or the rights of others; access systems without authorization; distribute malware; send spam; attack, overload or probe OpsGates Cloud or other customers; or interfere with the metering or licensing of the service.

6. Plans, fees and billing

  • The Free plan includes 2,000 tool calls per month. Pro costs US$15 per month for 15,000 tool calls per month. Unlimited costs US$20 per month with no monthly tool-call limit. Taxes may be added where required.
  • Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. They renew automatically every month at the same price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing in your dashboard, without contacting us; you keep the plan until the end of the month already paid and are not charged again.
  • Extra tool calls are a one-time purchase: they do not renew, never expire and are used only after the tool calls included in your plan for the month.
  • You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately and the prorated difference is charged. Cancellations and downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable, including for partial months.
  • If a payment fails, we may move your account to the Free plan after the processor's retry period.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period.

7. Usage limits and fair use

Tool calls are counted per account and reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC). When the limit of your plan is reached, new tool calls are refused until you upgrade or the month restarts. "Unlimited" is subject to reasonable use; we may contact you about usage that harms the service.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep OpsGates Cloud available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. If OpsGates Cloud is unreachable, installed Agents keep working for up to 72 hours; Computer mode needs OpsGates Cloud to work. We may improve or change features; we will not materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during a period you have paid for.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect. In short: in Server mode the Agent reports only call counts and technical identifiers, and your server credentials, files and command output never reach us; in Computer mode requests and answers pass through OpsGates Cloud on their way and are never stored.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or create risk for the service or other customers, with notice where reasonable. On termination your license to the software ends and you must uninstall it.

11. Disclaimers

OpsGates is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI assistants will act correctly.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of OpsGates, including changes made to your servers or computers through AI assistants. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or US$50 if you used only the Free plan).

13. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard at least 15 days before they apply.
